Playing the Game

  • Complete Missions and Gigs: These are the most lucrative ways to earn money, with larger payouts for main and side jobs from fixers.
  • Side Jobs & Gigs: Check your map for yellow icons to find smaller, less well-paid gigs from fixers, which can accumulate into a substantial amount of cash.
  • Main Story Progression: Progressing the main story is a straightforward and essential way to get rich.

Looting and Selling

  • Loot Everything: Pick up all junk items you find, as even small items can be valuable, and sell them at any shop or drop station.
  • Sell Weapons and Clothes: You can sell looted weapons and clothes to vendors or at drop stations for additional income.

Crafting and Hacking

  • Quick & Easy Cash: These tasks are quick and can be found by stumbling across them as you travel or through text messages from dispatchers.

Other Methods

  • Farming: Find specific areas, like in Santo Domingo, and take out groups of enemies, loot them, and then move away to their respawn point, returning to repeat the process for continuous income and loot.
  • Sell Components: Disassemble items to get crafting components, which can be used to craft profitable items.

Side Jobs & Gigs

To make money from Side Jobs and Gigs in Cyberpunk 2077, accept assignments from Fixers in different districts, which appear as blue-iconed missions on your map. Complete the objectives, such as eliminating targets or stealing objects, and you’ll receive Eddies (money) as a reward. The earnings can vary, but Gigs are generally a highly effective way to rapidly earn large sums of money.

Steps to Make Money from Side Jobs and Gigs:

  1. Find and Accept Gigs:
    • Open your map and look for blue question mark icons, which indicate available gigs.
    • These gigs are offered by fixers located throughout Night City’s districts.
    • Fixers will also contact you via your comms to inform you about available gigs in your area.
  2. Head to the Gig Location:
    • Once you accept a gig, track it on your map to find the location where you need to go.
  3. Complete the Gig Objectives:
    • Objectives are usually quick, such as eliminating a specific target, stealing an object, or rescuing someone.
  4. Receive Your Reward:
    • After successfully completing the gig, you’ll be rewarded with Eddies (the in-game currency).

Tips for Maximizing Your Earnings:

  • Do Gigs Frequently: Gigs are a consistent and highly effective method for accumulating substantial money quickly.
  • Loot Everything: After completing gigs or other activities, thoroughly search the area for valuable junk, loose eddies, and weapons to sell at drop points.
  • Sell Weapons: Looted weapons, especially rare and epic items, can be sold to vendors for a significant profit.
  • Crafting: Investing in crafting skills and using them to craft and sell weapons can be a very lucrative strategy.

By focusing on completing these repeatable tasks, you can rapidly build up your finances in Night City.

NCPD Scanner Hustles

To get paid for NCPD jobs in Cyberpunk 2077, defeat the enemies at the crime scene, then use your scanner to find and collect the evidence (marked by a yellow exclamation point). Successfully securing the evidence completes the “Assault in Progress” or similar NCPD task, and you’ll see a “Job Complete” notification with your payout on the left side of the screen. Looting and selling weapons dropped by defeated enemies also provides additional income.

Steps to Complete NCPD Jobs and Get Paid

  1. Locate the Crime: NCPD crimes appear on your map as light blue skull icons, indicating “Assault in Progress,” “Reported Crime,” or “Suspected Organized Crime Activity”.
  2. Engage the Enemies: Reach the location and eliminate all the enemies present.
  3. Find the Evidence: Use your scanner to locate the objective marker, which is a yellow exclamation point, usually near the area where the enemies were.
  4. Collect the Evidence: Walk up to the marker and collect the evidence.
  5. Receive Your Reward: A “Job Complete” notification will appear on the left side of your screen, followed by the eurodollar payout.
  6. Loot and Sell: After completing the job, collect all the weapons from the defeated enemies and sell them at a vendor or drop point for extra cash.

Tips

  • Varying Payouts: NCPD jobs don’t pay as much as Fixer Gigs, but they are quicker and offer more variety.
  • Scanner Hustles: These are the same as NCPD crimes, just a different name for the encounters marked with light blue skulls on the map.
  • In-Game Journal: If you’re unsure about a specific objective for a reported crime, check your Journal in the menu under the “NCPD” section for trackable objectives.
