Crafting

VULKK: How crafting works in Cyberpunk 2077: A complete guide

The above guide from VULKK is the best I’ve found so far. The basic premise is that you craft items from any blueprints that you posess. i.e. you craft items from scratch, so you won’t see items from your current inventory in the crafting interface. However, any “iconic” weapons and gear in your inventory will be seen in the upgrade interface, as only these can be upgraded. The following will hopefully answer any other questions.

Where can I find blueprints for crafting?

In Cyberpunk 2077, you find blueprints, called specs, by purchasing them from vendors, looting them from enemies, completing side quests, and leveling up your Crafting skill. Vendors like ripper docks and weapon shops sell specs, while legendary specs can often be found in organized crime activities. Reaching higher levels in the technical crafting progression unlocks higher-tier blueprints.

Can items be upgraded to “plus” tiers in cyberpunk 2077?

Yes, in Cyberpunk 2077, iconic weapons and gear can be upgraded to “plus” tiers (e.g., T5+ and T5++) by using crafting components in the crafting menu, though standard, non-iconic weapons cannot. You can find the option to upgrade these items within the crafting section of your inventory, where you’ll also see the required components.

How do I add mods to a wapon in cyberpunk 2077?

To add mods to a weapon in Cyberpunk 2077, navigate to your inventory, select the weapon you wish to modify, and then choose the available mod slots on the left side of the screen to equip your desired mods. Keep in mind that not all weapons have mod slots, and you may need to find or craft higher-tier weapons to access them.
